About us
The Porcine Studies Center of Catalonia is a consortium made up of the Lleida Provincial Council, the Noguera Regional Council, the Torrelameu City Council, and the University of Lleida. The Center was born with the desire to collaborate with the pork production system, contributing to dialogue and rapprochement between the different components of the sector. It was born following the model of an institution already consolidated in other countries. The CEP has a clear training and study vocation. The training activity can be divided into three clearly differentiated groups. On the one hand, it wants to serve as support for vocational training schools. On the other hand, participate very directly in university training, collaborating with the UdL and also in carrying out our own courses and seminars aimed at all agents involved in the pig sector. These courses and seminars may be promoted by the CEP itself or with the collaboration of various companies and associations or institutions linked to the sector.
